Shohei Ohtani made his postseason debut on Saturday with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the only way he knows how – with a bang . With the Dodgers trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning, Ohtani blasted a pitch from San Diego’s Dylan Cease over the right field fence to knot up the score. He added a single in the Dodgers’ second rally of the game in their 3-run fourth inning to help Los Angeles to a 7-5 Game 1 NLDS win. With the Dodgers looking to exorcize the demons of the last year’s early exit at the hands of the Arizona Diamondbacks, this is exactly what they were hoping for from their $700 million man.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Ohtani will likely win the National League MVP award this season after creating the 50 home run/50 stolen base club, finishing the regular season with 54 dingers and 59 swipes. With that being said, can you name the National League home run champions since 1994?
Good luck!
