Artisan’s Acuity is a key resource within the War Within, and you can get lots of it early by doing the introduction quest to Work Orders, however, farming it long-term isn’t easy but there are a number of options each week to help you earn this resource.

Artisan’s Acuity is an important part of how the profession system works in War Within. You’ll need a lot of it as you progress on your journey, but a large amount can be obtained early on. The amount is enough to purchase your first lot of profession experience, to give you a nice start on your specialization journey.

Artisan’s Acuity Farm

There are many ways to get Artisan’s Acuity each week, some will net you a small amount each time others can be slightly more lucrative. We also have a one-off method first up in case you’ve missed it.

Gathering Nodes

For folks with Herbing and Mining, you will get your weekly limit of Deepgrove Petal or Slab of Slate which increases your gathering knowledge. However, these items reward you with 5 Artisan’s Acuity each time you “learn” them. Sadly they cannot be traded within your Warband.

Patron Word Orders

Each week you will get around 12 patron orders (these will come in daily, limited to around 6 at once), some of these will reward you with an item that gives you some Artisan’s Acuity. These are basically the crafting equivalent of the above Gathering way of earning a small amount each week.

It’s also worth noting that not all Patron Work Orders will be completable, with the game often giving you ones that require you to make items you don’t have. A number of these will likely be the PvP recipes you earn in BGs and Arena, but you can buy these off the AH. The game will also sometimes task you with making the “exclusive” armor and weapon Epics that require you to spec into specific specialization trees.

First Crafts

Completing a crafting item First Craft will award you with a small amount of Artisan’s Acuity. This is a limited amount, however, you can earn a fair bit this way if you are willing to buy lots of recipes of the AH or via reputation vendors.

How to get it and Quest Reward

The quest, which is meant as your introduction to the Crafting Order system, is simply a case of speaking to the NPC twice and picking a reward.

Once you are done you will be given one of four rewards to pick from. Each bag contains a nice set of items to help you with your profession. It’s best to pick the one for the profession you do, of course. It is worth pointing out, however, that you will not be offered a bag for the profession you do. So, if you are just starting out and really want a bag for your profession you will need to drop it first. Otherwise, just look at the list below of what each contains and pick the best option.  However, if you want to make money, check the AH prices for each set of items from the list below:

Note: At the time of publishing the Herb bag is the most expensive, this will likely be the case for the foreseeable future. You will only get offered
