Chart-topping rapper Lil Pump was choked completely unconscious during a Kick stream with Colby Covington yesterday.
The social media star and musician, best known for hit songs like ‘Gucci Gang’ and ‘I Love It’, came to MMA Masters to train with former interim welterweight champion Covington as fans watched online. The pair agreed to a light spar, which Covington appeared to be taking at a walking pace.
But things got serious when the rapper claimed that the UFC star wouldn’t be able to submit him quickly. Within minutes, he learned the severity of what a top level MMA fighter is capable of as he was put out by Covington with two different chokes.

Lil Pump, whose real name is Gazzy Fabio Garcia, was in Miami and wanted to bring fans with him as he attended the gym with Colby Covington. The American is a former interim world champion, and has defeated the likes of Rafael Dos Anjos, Tyron Woodley and Robbie Lawler in his career.
The pair have worked together before on different streams, but this was a little bit different as Pump actually entered into a sparring session with Covington. Known for his NCAA Division 1 wrestling, the UFC star immediately showed off his grappling as he took down the musician with ease.

Pump immediately started complaining of an issue with his groin, but Covington insisted that they finish the round and “push through the pain”. “We all facing adversity in life,” he noted to the camera as his pal writhed around in agony.
“We just got to push through it, doesn’t matter how you feel, you got to keep going and remove the feelings. This ain’t the Ultimate Feelings Championship, it’s the Ultimate motherf***in’ Fighting Championships.
“That’s why you always got to wear a cup, you got to wear that protection. It’s the worst pain you’re going to feel, there’s no worse pain for a man.”
Colby Covington puts Lil Pump in gauntlet of submissions during sparring session
Unfortunately for Lil Pump, once he returned to action he was instantly brought down again and put in a head-and-arm choke. After tapping multiple times, Covington held on to the hold until it appeared the rapper was unconscious.
Once he regained consciousness, Covington joked that “someone had to get put to sleep today, sorry it had to be Lil Pump.” “I wanted him to feel what a little nap was like,” the fighter joked. “He didn’t sleep much last night so we got to make sure he gets a little nap.”
Pump claimed that he “didn’t know what was happening,” and insisted that he “went unconscious for at least a second,” during the incident. But he wanted to “run it back”, so the pair agreed to continue their sparring.
The second time around, Pump made the seemingly insane move to go for Covington’s legs, resulting in having his back immediately taken and a rear naked choke being locked in. The UFC fighter this time answered his taps and released the hold.

However, the rapper’s audience in the live chat were not satiated, and demanded that Covington put him fully to sleep. So he obliged, taking down Lil Pump and placing him in a gauntlet of submissions that he tapped to, although none put him to sleep.
Covington told team members that he ‘didn’t want to hurt him’, before joking that Lil Pump was ‘unchokeable’. But once he received the okay he finally locked in a rear naked choke and refused to let go after multiple pleas and physical taps.
“Look at his eyes bro, he’s out,” Covington gawked as trainers attempted to bring Pump back to consciousness. “Don’t try that at home, ladies and gentlemen. This is trained professionals doing this s***.
“This is not for little kids to try at the gym, please do not try this at home. This is dangerous stuff, you don’t play Mixed Martial Arts. You can play basketball, a kid’s game where you put a ball in a hoop, this is a real sport where people die, this is dangerous, this ain’t something to f*** around with.”
